It felt exactly that way for the first 6ks and then fine to about 34ish ks when it started to hurt. Notwithstanding the nice surroundings running solo for this long is not much fun. Should mention that the wind today was coming from the southern side (the Kitzsteinhorn end) which was also causing havoc. On that note there was a timely reminder on each of the 3.5 laps when running past the northern end hospital with the rescue helicopters landing ferrying the injured off of the slopes.
38k done in 4.20s (2 hours and 44 minutes) after starting slowly - 3.5 laps of the lake (a mission!).

In the arvo I had a much needed nap with J before walking the boys down to the lake for waffles. Early to bed.
