Josh Lewsey

Session with Josh today whose cv includes World Cup winner, the military, Mount Everest, city trader and now public speaker. Impressive.

My favourite bit of the session was when he took great pleasure in describing his hit on Matt Rogers 'who in their right mind would refuse the opportunity to legally hit an Australian?'.

I liked his motto that skill does not get you there but perseverance. You just need to get back on your feet and go again. His theories on organisational management are interesting too and sit around strategy, structure and people but underpinned by the organsisation's purpose. Culture is so important to reinforce the mantra. He spoke of his sporting and business experience re team dynamics and singled out the World Cup winning team in Sydney in 2003 where every memeber knew their role and place.
