Friday last day in Biarritz

And so the final day came which meant packing the van and attaching the surf boards on the roof racks in prep for the 1,300km drive back home. 2.5 weeks gone in a heartbeat.

Biarritz though was pretty wet and cold but did sneak in a slow 10k jog along all the beach fronts including to the lighthouse and managed to get soaked in the process. On the way we stopped at the famous bakery in the village behind the campsite where they have their own mill.

We decided to break up the drive with trying to get some done on the Friday still and staying the night in Poitiers. This meant navigating through Bordeaux on a Friday night which is always a nightmare. This time it was just about ok but the 4 hours quickly turned into 5.

Into bed late again. Have not been sleeping well of late which is never a good sign for me. Usually if I sleep well the world feels like a good place. If I don't it does not.
