Sydney

After spending the night at the swanky Sydney Four Seasons I sent a late request out to Mikey Conway to see if he was keen to run at lunch which he duly accepted.

Turned into a thoroughly enjoyable 17kms as we caught up discussing future plans, the families and life in general.  It was great to catch up and he threw in the new Bangaroo section which Sydney has done a great job on. Impressive.

On route we bumped into John Bowe and then later Steve Hawkins at the Opera House and finally Enda.

I then ran around catching up with old colleagues (Tollie, Mark W and Steven S) before taking the 6pm ferry with the usual Friday night crew back to Manly (where our house is) making the mandatory stop at the Wharf Bar and then the Manly Italian for dinner with Quentin, Jamie and Davie Kane.

I then crashed at Q's, exhausted. Felt bad for Q as he was running the Coastal Classic the next day and he only got to bed at a late hour. Big thanks to him and he was still able to manage a 3rd place!

Pix of views from the Sydney office, panoramic views of Sydney on the flight in, the ferry commute home in the dark and the lunchtime run.
