Top of the table clash (Saturday)

Massively fatigued this morning and ditched Park run. With the boys football season starting I am going to be hard pressed running any more this year.

The morning I spent with boy #1 Tommy sorting his book covers out for big school and bought him a new Timex watch in Bromley.  Secondary school has been a revelation for him as he loves the independence.  It's almost like he has become completely self sufficient over night.

The afternoon was spent with boy #3 Lucas at the top of the clash between Palace and Man City.  Selhurst was raucously rocking as usual and we were really unlucky to lose in the last minute. We looked really good, particularly the front three of Sako, Bolasie and Zaha. The highlight of the game was Dann taking out Aguero who soon after went off. Still that's 9 points from 5 games and having played 3 of the top 4.

The highlight of the day was introducing Lukie to his first bag of proper British chips from the chippie and the 70 year old lady riding a bmx who screamed at us what the score was on the way home. Enjoyed a nice pint after the game with Graham (Lukie's best mate's dad - also a lifelong Palace fan) and Ben too.

After a family dinner I was fast asleep by 9pm and after no running today. The last couple of weeks has really taken it out of me.

You can see Aguero lying on the turf after having been polaxed by Scott Dann:
