No time again today for long run but negotiated with Jacqueline that I run whilst Jack was playing his Millwall game at the Crystal Palace training ground.
Decided on running there catching the first half whilst doing some jogs on the grounds, running out again into Beckenham and then back to see the last 15 of the second half. I then jogged it back home for a laboured 28k in 4.39s. In short, it felt horrid. Never felt comfortable, feeling heavy and not helped by a strong wind.
Pretty sure I am not 100% recovered as that took an almighty effort even with the slow pace. Confidence at an all time low.
Thankfully Jack was on much better form than me, playing with confidence including some nice step overs in first 5 minutes. In Australia he was old in his year but here he is one of the youngest and some of the Palace academy players looked like they should be in the under 14s as oppose to the 11s. Slowly but surely he is showing a little more belief.
