Easter Monday

Another double with skiing all day followed by a circuit of the lake. It was ridiculously warm and felt like summer even at 2,000ms with the locals skiing in Tees.

I did the usual, stopping in with the boys in their respective groups. They were all pumped come the evening but were sun drenched and were adamant that they then go to the local pool - timing for me to run the lake. Fair play to them having the energy post the day they had.

Jacqueline had a great day. Her skiing is coming on a treat and was leading her group whenever I saw her. She was cracking up at dinner telling us how her instructor knocked back a bier and a schnapps at lunch as oppose to more orthodox food. She then retold how she was on one of the lifts in the afternoon and saw Ryder and mentioned to her group member 'there is my son' only to repeat it three more times when by conincidence the three elder boys followed in quick succession.

I felt good on my run notwithstanding the heavy legs. My rythm was there and felt relaxed in the shoulders and arms (always a sign of fitness for me).

The lake is extraordinary with people walking off the slopes to people landing hand gliders.  Yesterday with the wind the locals were kite surfing and today with no wind they were paragliding but bloody hell tho rather than just jump off one of the local peaks they were doing loop the loops 100ms above the water knowing that if they got it wrong they'd simply have freezing water to deal with.
