Guétary

Another complete day surfing in Bidart with the boys. There were perfect surfable 2 foot waves in crystal clear waters.  In the afternoon we met Eniela (and her kids at our pool - her husband Maurice is from here).

In the evening she showed off all the unknown treasures (see pix below) with drinks at Le C before we ate on the waterfront at another amazing restaurant 'Les Alycons'. With Dors and Rose's 2 boys and  Camille and Mathias it made for 8 kids (Camille being the only girl) and 7 adults. We ate our way through all of the Basque delights with Eniela insisting that we sample ALL including many a house Rosé, White and Red (I am already not looking forward to the morning headache but hey ho what the heck, when in Rome....).

An all round unforgettable day topped off with a stunning sunset.

This morning I managed a 1 hour long Coastal Classic (Basque style), meeting J and the boys @ Bidart beach. This really is amazing country with the Pryrenees mountains only 1hrs drive away and still authentic Basque with no Brits and no new age wealthy Russians to spoil. Long may it continue!
